MITCHELL 300: The Next Generation

300PRO-CBOFrench engineer Maurice Jacquemin set out to design a fishing reel that could cast longer and recover line without tangling. That was a tall order back in the late ‘30s early ‘40s, when spinning reels as they are known today didn’t even exist.

Jacquemin spent two years developing the unique invention to meet his high expectations. He succeeded in designing what would become the world’s first spinning reel the MITCHELL, which later became known as — The MITCHELL 300.

For generations of anglers worldwide it was their first reel. Many anglers reeled in their first fish on the iconic MITCHELL 300. That legacy continues today with the next evolution of the iconic reel.

The new MITCHELL 300 Pro has a retro look that keeps its nostalgic trademark profile. What’s new is an advanced polymeric body and rotor. It makes the reel more durable for tough fishing conditions. The 10 ball bearings make the MITCHELL 300 Pro run smoother than ever, and it has an instant Anti-Reverse feature. Big fish don’t stand a chance outfighting the new smooth, hybrid carbon drag. The innovative Bail Halo adds strength to the rotor so line loads perfectly on the spool under heavy loads.

You get all that and more for $69.95 with the new MITCHELL 300 Pro. The new standard MITCHELL 300 comes with 8 ball bearings and retails for $49.95. Both the 300Pro and 300 are available in three sizes 300, 308, and 310.

The reels are available in a combo packages. The set features a 24-ton graphite rod with stainless-steel guides and inserts and split-grip handles. The MITCHELL 300 combos come in seven models priced at $69.95 and 6 versions of MITCHELL 300 Pro for $89.95.
